Condition & logistics
Running vs. Not Running
We accept motorcycles regardless of their running condition. If your bike has been sitting idle for too long or needs repairs, don’t fret; it can still be a valuable contribution.
Title Issues
Make sure the title is signed on the back, including the odometer reading. If you’ve lost the title or it’s not in your name, contact us to discuss alternative solutions.
Storage & Pickup Logistics
We understand that some bikes are in garages or RV parks, and we’ll coordinate pickup at your convenience. Our team is here to make the donation experience as smooth as possible!
Title transfer & paperwork
In California, transferring the title of your motorcycle is a breeze, especially with Delta Ride Exchange. You’ll need to fill out form REG 262 to transfer ownership. Ensure the title is signed and includes the odometer reading. Notarization is typically not required, but please remember to remove your plates before the transfer. If you're unsure about any step, our team is ready to guide you through the paperwork!
Tax deduction for this donation
When you donate your motorcycle, you could be looking at a tax deduction ranging from $500 to the fair market value, depending on the condition and sale of the motorcycle. Make sure to retain your IRS Form 1098-C provided by us after the donation, as it will be essential for your tax return.
